I have seen these all over the crafting blogosphere and decided that redecorating my 11-year-old sister’s room was the perfect opportunity to try it out.
Me and my mom found these picture frames at a thrift store. I spray painted the frames white and spray painted the glass with chalkboard paint. I used a whole can because I wanted to be sure that each frame had enough coats of chalkboard to hold up to Meg’s artistic creativity. You can also cut smooth thin plywood to size and use that instead of glass if you are worried about it being a danger for kids (we ended up doing that for two of the frames because my brother accidently stepped on them).
Attach some ribbon using small screws, mount them using drywall anchors, and voila!
I like the finished product!
